In Briar Rose's world, there have always been two sides: humanity, and the beasts pretending to be human, the dogs who can never stifle their instinct to hunt. To kill. For longer than she had been alive, things were this way; her kind were revolted by the werewolves that dared to exist in a world where they shouldn't belong, and vice versa. The werewolves hated her weak, sniveling species that could hardly do anything for themselves and stole most of what they "owned". This was the actuality of life-- of everyone's lives-- Until it wasn't. Until steel barriers and silver superstitions were breached, by a few curious humans who found themselves in the world of the wolves. And even more unlikely: when forbidden feelings arise within the heart of a human for the wolves in boys' skins.
