Especially, when people whom you love get torn away from you. Sometimes it's worth jeopardizing your life for the ones you love...perhaps you can end up finding yourself along the way. Dig deeper into the life of people capable of doing anything to protect civilians with no limits to bound them to any rules whatsoever, into the life of people who own every single mob on planet Earth, and people who have only one mission: kill.

Now, it's no longer easy. Those people hadn't thought about the future generations, about how we would live. Those people hadn't thought about the future generations, about how we would live. It never occurred to them that resources on Earth would soon be reduced dramatically, or that the air would soon be so contaminated that if one breathed in it for too long, they'd die.

Now, we have to clean up the messes that they left behind. Because they were so irresponsible, we have to pay the price. Can we really do this? Is it possible for us to fix the environment? Or will Earth soon recover on its own, only to find itself uninhabited?

I don't know. Quite frankly, I don't think we can do this.

Will and his dogs are pretty much alone. The world he knew slipped away in a matter of days.  But the question is not whether or not Will can survive. The question is--does he want to? The answer must come soon because the apocalypse is here, the dead are ever-present, and the window for opportunity is closing.

In a futuristic world where the original pencil and paper are banned, children are taught that "new technology" is something to use, and nothing else. 

     Aira Latch grew up differently, in a different village in a different school, and has always known that the simple pencil and paper were what was easiest to use. 

     When Aira's village is bombed, she, her mother, and Mr. Graplin from across the road are the only ones to survive. Seeking refuge, they visit the technology obsessed town, hoping to be welcomed. And, although they are allowed to stay there, pencil and paper is not tolerated inside the wooden doors. 

     Aira, trying to make a difference, tries to show them the wonders of the pencil and paper, the simplicity, the enjoyment that could come from it, but it starts something that she could never take back.
